Look up your IP address

Every computer on the internet is assigned a unique IP (Internet Protocol) number. This is usually done by your Internet Service Provider. This tool allows you to find out the number assigned to your computer. There are two types of IP addresses in use at the moment, IPv4 and IPv6. IPv4 is the most common type now but will be replaced in the future by IPv6 which allows for a lot more unique numbers to be assigned.
